Louise and Michael have been farming Alpacas since 2004.  We have focused on the Suri Alpaca using top show winning animals from studs such as Surico, Thistledown, Homestead Alpacas and Valley of Peace, to name a few.  The results of this breeding programme and introducing top genetics are paying dividends with some incredible lustre, fineness and density on well proportioned strong frame animals.

Our focus has always been animal health and well being.  We follow organic farming principals and only use natural fertilizers.  Our belief of what we put on to the land will be the health of our animals and our animal health is second to none.  While we are not an organic farm the animals graze organically fertilized pasture and we allow paddocks to develop seed for natural regeneration.

Alpacas are naturally roamers and while we are only a small block we have set the farm up to emulate this with smaller paddocks and the animals are able to roam between continuously fed roughage in the form of meadow hay to pasture in the spring autumn and summer.  We irrigate through the dry months and winter feed is lucerne bale-age.  We believe that our stock management programme and following organic farming principals are the reasons for our exceptional animal health.
